Little Dresses for Africa
Jack's school had a community volunteer event and I volunteered to help make Little Dresses for Africa....hope they like pink and brown!
Crazy Paisley!
This fabric was originally a shirt that I had made for myself (I did wear it a few times), but I decided it was a little too wild for me. Some scissors and a little more sewing and I turned it into a shirt/dress for little Miss Julia and it will look much cuter on her!
Ready for Fall!
The weather has not been very fall-like lately (we love it when it's in the 80's and sunny in October), but Julia's ready with her new skirt! It even has her favorite color...ORANGE!

Raspberry Lemonade Forget Me Knot Dress
Moving has really taken up tons of time and not left any free moments for sewing (it hasn't stopped me from buying fabric, so I can't wait to unpack the sewing machine...not that it is going to happen any time soon). Yesterday Julia wore one of my favorite dresses and I LOVE the pink stripped leggings to match!

Hooded Towel
The cute beach towels that were on sale at Target for $4 were calling my name...so I made one into a hooded pool/beach towel. Jack has been wearing it around the house as a cape and Julia is quite upset that I have not made one her for her (she tries to swipe Jack's!)...now to find the time to sew a few more!

Getting Braver...
I am getting quite brave with the sewing machine...I bought a pattern the other day and decided I would make a few changes. I actually made so many changes that I wasn't sure it was going to fit. It fits and I ended up with this (I think it would make a super cute shirt too...obviously it would need to be a lot shorter!)...

We received an invitation this past weekend to a fundraiser/silent auction from Shared Pregnancy Women's Center and they were so appreciative of our donated baby items last year that I wanted to do something for their silent auction this year...
